About Centre Gives:
- Centre Gives is an annual online giving event designed to encourage community giving
- It takes place 8am on Wednesday, May 8th through 8pm on Thursday, May 9th
- Visit our page, https://centregives.org/organizations/264-sock-buskin-theatre-company, to make donations using credit or debit card during this period
- The minimum donation is $10 and all donations are tax-deductible
- Your donation goes further thanks to the Centre Gives stretch pools provided by Centre Foundation and the Hamer Foundation

Power Hour Open House
Join us on Wednesday, May 8th from 5:30pm to 7:30pm for a Power House Open House event at our tech space in the Nittany Mall (use Entrance A; we're across from Ville Billy's).
We'll have complimentary wine and snacks, information on our organization, and monologue performances. Come to learn more about our upcoming events and volunteer opportunities, and to discuss potential partnerships -- or just to watch the monologues and enjoy the refreshments!
ALSO, we are encouraging all donors to donate to Sock & Buskin between 6:00pm and 7:00pm that evening as we attempted to win the Happy Hour Power Hour Prize...If we receive the most unique donors during the hour, we'll win an additional $500! So if you can, please donate at least $10 during that time (you do not have to attend the open house to donate.)
Centre Gives Fest
Visit us at the Centre Gives Fest on Thursday, May 9th between 5:00pm and 8:00pm at Tallyrand Park in Bellefonte, PA.
The festival includes food vendors, music, and tables hosted by nonprofits. Our table will have theatre activites, a ticket raffle, and more! There are also more opportunities for our group to win cash prizes if you enter us into a drawing. See you there!
What will Sock & Buskin do with my donation?
As a growing organization, your donation goes a long way. Some of the ways we use your donation includes:
- Operational expenses, like insurance and web services
- Production expenses, including licensing fees, venue fees, and costumes and props
- Capital purchases, such as lighting and sound equipment
- Leasing fees and utilities for rehearsal and storage space
- Educational and community engagement opportunities
Your donation allows us to grow and sustain, while we entertain, inspire, and foster a love of theatrical arts in Centre County.

If you are able to give, here are some other prizes that we encourage you to consider trying to win for Sock & Buskin:
- 20:12 Prize - 13 Years of Centre Gives!: In honor of the first Centre Gives in 2012, the organization that receives a donation closest to 20:12 (8:12:00 pm) on May 8 will receive a $250 prize.
- Magic Minute - 3:33pm: During the exact minute between 3:33:00 pm and 3:33:59 pm on May 9, the first 20 organizations that receive a donation will each receive a prize of $100, limited to one Magic Minute prize per organization.
- Centre Gives Fest Prizes (5): Attend Centre Gives Fest at Bellefonte's Talleyrand Park between 5:00 and 7:30 pm on May 9 and submit your favorite nonprofit for a chance to win. One organization will be randomly selected to win a $250 prize during each of the following time periods: 5:00-5:30, 5:30-6, 6-6:30, 6:30-7, and 7-7:30. You can submit during each time period!
- Wheel of Philanthropy Prize: Visit Centre Foundations' table at Centre Gives Fest at Bellefonte's Talleyrand Park between 5:00 and 8:00 pm on May 9 and spin the Wheel of Philanthropy for a chance to win a variety of prizes, including a $100 donation to your favorite nonprofit. One spin per person.
- In the Know Prize: Visit Centre Foundations' table at Centre Gives Fest at Bellefonte's Talleyrand Park between 5:00 and 8:00 pm on May 9 and sign up for their newsletter and submit your favorite organization. One will be randomly selected to win $250.
