The employees of Kringle are back for more holiday antics and mayhem in this sequel to our popular murder mystery, Cutthroat Christmas. A permanent CEO has still not been named since the murderous outcome of their last holiday party and the competition remains as cutthroat as ever. Will the CEO be Michael, former nepotism-hire trying to prove himself, or Greg, salesman-turned-chauvinist with a flair for the dramatic? And can we get through the night without another murder?
Featuring some of your favorite characters from the last show plus memorable new ones, you'll be laughing nonstop in this wacky sequel. And if you missed the original, don't worry - we'll summarize it all for you and you won't miss a beat! Join us as a potential investor at the Kringle holiday party, where anything can - and probably will - happen.
A Request of Our Audience
Please be respectful of the actors! We invite guests to interact with and interrogate the actors during this performance, but we ask that you be mindful of their personal space and real human feelings. Meet The Cast
Kari Williamson
Christy | Director, Producer, Playwright
Kari is excited to reprise her role of Christy. It’s been wonderful to bring these crazy Kringle characters back for Cutthroat Christmas: Deadly Deals. To reunite with the original cast, bring in new characters, act on stage with her daughter, and play Christy again has been a labor of love. You may have also seen Kari on stage in Suite Surrender (Athena), It’s A Wonderful Life (Kathryn/Mary), The Witching Hour (Athena), Murder in the HOA (Renee), and Cutthroat Christmas (Christy). Kari is excited to play Annie in the upcoming production of Slain At The Speakeasy. Kari gives her heartfelt thanks to her husband and kids for supporting her.
Gregg Baptista
Greg
Gregg returned to theatre in 2021 after a long hiatus and helped launch Sock & Buskin Theatre Company in 2022 as a member of its board of directors. He has been involved with several Sock & Buskin performances since then, both onstage and behind the scenes, including the role of Greg in the original Cutthroat Christmas, which he is reprising here. Gregg works as a writer in development at Penn State in an office filled with talented and quirky coworkers, and he is excited to be a part of another year of live theatre with Sock & Buskin.
Nate Schierman
Michael
Nate has appeared in several productions for Sock & Buskin, The Next Stage, and SCCT theatre companies. There’s a reason none of his previous performances have been musicals.
Kristine Allen
Margaret
Kris has performed with Sock & Buskin as Alice in Rapture, Blister, Burn, Mrs. Boyle in The Mousetrap, and Margaret in the first Cutthroat Christmas. She appeared in her first play at age 5 and has been addicted to doing plays, musicals and the occasional opera ever since. Her favorite roles have included John Dickinson in an all-women version of 1776, Amanda in The Glass Menagerie, Bottom in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Helsa in The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940, Barbararina in The Marriage of Figaro, and Constanze in Amadeus. When not on stage, she lurks in a radio studio at WPSU and plays fiddle at the State College Irish Session. She thanks her fellow cast-members, and especially the crew of this production!
Amanda J Smith
Ariana
Amanda is thrilled to be playing Ariana, following her role as Victoria in Will to Kill with Sock & Buskin. In her other role, she is the Director of K12 Engagement at Penn State University. Amanda’s love for performing began early, thanks to her parents, Glenn and Pat Shirey, who encouraged her passion for musicals, competitive dance, and acting lessons while growing up in Pittsburgh. Thank you to her very supportive husband, Jake, and her amazing daughter, Isabelle, for always believing in her!
Jared Kehler
Charlie
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, everyone! Jared is excited to play the role of Charlie Moore in Cutthroat Christmas: Deadly Deals. A regular for years in the State College theatre scene, this is his fourth production in 2024. You might have seen him earlier this year in Class Act Productions’ Much Ado About Nothing as Don John, State College Community Theatre’s Footloose as Coach Roger Dunbar, or State College Community Theatre’s The Game’s Afoot as Felix Geisel, all at the Boal Barn Playhouse. This is Jared’s second production with the Sock & Buskin Theatre Company, after playing Inspector Collins in 86'ed last year. He would like to thank his friends and family for their support over the years, and to the numerous community theatre groups in the area for giving him multiple opportunities to perform. He hopes you enjoy the show, and that you have a great holiday season!

Heidi J Cole
Jennifer, GG 4 (Carol)
This is Heidi’s seventh production with S&B. She thought being a Greg Girl would be easy since she had no lines to memorize. She was wrong. She would like to thank the cast and crew for letting her participate.
